(Port) Wine of the month November 2019: Quinta do Vesuvio 2015 (DOC)

There are only very few wines from the Douro Valley who have a fantastic “drinkability” when they are young, but also do not miss the typical complexity and intensity of the region. Vesuvio 2015 is one of them: Deep red color with lots of violet reflexes. Deep, floral-fresh bouquet with a hint of sweetness, violets, tobacco and cherry. Firm tannins and noticeable acidity on the palate, raspberry, cherry, cassis, vanilla and tobacco. Long aftertaste with a touch of astringency. 18/20. At Vesuvio, DOC wines are bottled since 2007.
